Support Venice – Protect Its Spirit for Generations to Come
Venice is incredible. Every time you visit, you think: this is the most beautiful city in the world. But it’s also delicate—full of wonder, yet facing complex challenges. Right now, Venice is at a tipping point. The city’s local population is shrinking, its fragile lagoon ecosystem is under threat, and centuries of cultural heritage are at risk of fading away. Meanwhile, many local families are struggling to stay afloat. This campaign is about more than preserving beauty—it’s about protecting a living city and the people who call it home.

For this reason, we created Venice Lives (a fundraising campaign to help the city) and we are launching it with Venice on Fire—the once-in-a-lifetime floating dinner and music experience on July 19th.
Venice on Fire is a celebration of Venice—its beauty, its people, and its future. All proceeds from ItaliaPass tickets for this extraordinary floating dinner and music experience will go directly to Venice Lives. Through this special evening, we support local organizations working every day to protect the city and improve the lives of Venetians. There’s no donation required to attend (but would be GREATLY appreciated!), just your presence, your respect for this incredible place, and your belief that, together, we can help Venice not just survive, but truly live.

The Redentore in Venice
What You Need to Know About the Redentore Festival in Venice
To Venetians, the Redentore isn’t just a festival—it’s a feeling. It’s memory, tradition, and identity wrapped into one unforgettable summer night. Held every third weekend of July, the Redentore (“Redeemer”) dates back to 1577, when the city was freed from a devastating plague. To thank God, the Venetian Republic built the Redentore Church on the island of Giudecca and vowed to return every year in a solemn procession across a bridge of boats. That promise became a tradition, and over 400 years later, it’s still alive. But what makes the Redentore truly special is how it blends the sacred and the celebratory. It’s a moment when the entire city comes together—not in grand palaces or concert halls, but in boats, floating tables, and shared laughter. Families decorate their boats with lanterns, locals bring homemade feasts, and everyone gathers in the St. Mark’s Basin to watch the most spectacular fireworks display in Italy light up the sky—and their hearts. For one night, Venice doesn’t perform for the world. It celebrates itself. That’s the Redentore. That’s what it means to belong to this city.
